Mango-Orange Smoothie (AKA Green Sunshine)

Ingredients
  • ½ cup orange juice
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 cup fresh spinach
  • 1 banana
Instructions
  1. Place ingredients in blender. Blend for 1 minute, then enjoy!
Notes
Some people are concerned about the amount of sugar in fruity smoothies, but keep in mind that your body is getting those natural sugars the way nature intended--with lots of fiber and some protein to help it gradually absorb the energy it needs. That's very different from a bottle of soda, which contains lots of processed sugar and nothing to keep it from hitting your system like a ton of bricks. There's a reason dietitians encourage us to eat more fruit and consume less processed sugar.
